I grew up in New England playing just about every team sport there is. However, I focused mainly on ice hockey from a young age. I was lucky enough to be exposed to weightlifting at age 12 and experienced firsthand how much it improved my athletic performance. Later, in high school, I began rowing and went on to row at the Division 1 level in college.
After majoring in English during college, I shifted gears and taught myself to code, subsequently becoming a Software Engineer and Software Engineering Director. I worked first at a small company that was acquired by LinkedIn and later at Etsy, Casper (yes, the mattress company!), and Venmo.
In my late 20s, I began to suffer from several chronic illnesses, including an autoimmune condition. As a result, I became weak and truly unwell for the first time in my life. I was lucky enough to find amazing coaches who helped me turn my health around and became so grateful for and inspired by the transformational power of nutrition and training that I decided to quit my corporate job in order to help others as a certified personal trainer and nutritionist.
My favorite part about working with others is helping them achieve health/fitness goals and then, because of their newfound confidence, see them unblock themselves in other areas of life. I am skilled at working with people of all ages and levels of fitness, particularly professionals who are looking to reclaim their strength and wellness, lose weight, and/or those who face chronic fatigue.
